Florida Legal Minds Head to Delhi to Improve Relations with Indian Legal Community

As trade relations between the U.S. and India ramp up, Florida’s international legal minds are preparing to participate in the US-India Symposium on Law, Business, and Investments in New Delhi November 26- 27, 2018. The symposium is jointly organized by the Florida Bar International Law Section and the Indian National Bar Association. FIU’s Manuel Gomez, Associate Dean of International & Graduate Studies and Professor of Law, Susanne Leone, President of Welt International Law, P.A. in Miami, and other Florida law practitioners view this event as a unique opportunity to improve relations between colleagues of the Florida and the Indian legal communities, including lawyers, politicians, accountants, bankers, students, and judges. On behalf of the College of Law, Gomez is delighted to participate and support this initiative, which he hopes is the first of many: “Expanding our academic footprint to India and strengthening our academic collaborations with Indian legal professionals is part of our strategic growth toward Asia, and consistent with FIU’s global vision.” As one of the featured keynote speakers, Leone looks forward to sharing the stage with “eminent legal practitioners and academics practicing in international investment, immigration, tax and business laws in the U.S. and India.”
